Willow Creek Is Expanding Our Reach for Mental Health Care Support in Green Bay

The reality is that far too many Wisconsin residents are dying due to drug and alcohol addiction, a fully preventable and treatable condition for most people. At Willow Creek Behavioral Health, we recognize the importance of providing ever-increasing and reliable support to families of those battling for their lives.

We are expanding our care and continuing to offer the most innovative and effective, proven strategies for drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health support. It’s critical right now.

From 2016 to 2023, 11,390 people have died from drug overdoses in Wisconsin alone, according to data shared by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.  That is nearly 10% of Green Bay’s population. The largest group of people is opioid-related overdose deaths.

In Wisconsin, 859,000 adults have a mental health condition. That is three times the population of the city of Madison. It amounts to 1 in 5 people. Of those with mental health conditions of a serious nature, about 266,000 of them did not receive the mental health care they needed. More so, over 2.1 million people in the state live in a community where there is not enough professional mental health help available.  This data, provided by NAMI Wisconsin, provides clarity on just how challenging mental health care can be.
